About Menifee:

Menifee, California, situated in Riverside County, is one of the State's newest cities and also one of it's fastest growing. Bordered on three sides by the cities of Canyon Lake, Perris, Lake Elsinore, and Murietta, this former mining town started it's modern life in the 1960's as the location of Sun City, a retirement community. In the 1990's, Menifee enjoyed further growth as part of a planned community and it was officially incorporated on October 1, 2008. The city, who's population is 80,589, also includes the communities of Sun City, Paloma Valley, Quail Valley, as well as parts of Romoland.

The climate of the area could be called arid, consisting of hot, dry summers and mild winters with little precipitation. It is not only the sunny days, which average about 230 days out of the year, but the beautiful new homes and numerous large lakes that have attracted new residents from the crowded urban areas of Los Angeles and beyond.

Home prices range from the low $130's to the upper-end of the $600,000 mark. You get a lot of house, most with three to five bedrooms and huge lots, as well as great modern features, in that price range. The city also has many amenities such as shopping, fine restaurants, and beautiful natural scenery to add to its attractions. The population is made up predominately of families with school-age children, with the balance populated by young professionals and retirees.

Education for the children of Menifee and the surrounding communities is served by both the Romoland and Menifee Union School Districts; higher education can be obtained at the Menifee Valley campus of the Mount San Jacinto College, as well as the Riverside campus of the University of California and Riverside Community College.

Local amenities include more than 25 neighborhood parks, recreation areas, a large number of medical facilities, public libraries, and local businesses to suit any necessity. Within a 10-mile radius of Menifee, residents can find the Hemet Museum, the Kid Zone Museum, Diamond Arena, as well as first-rate golf courses and plenty of opportunities to commune with nature at it's best. A little further afield, but still close to home, look for the Pharoah's Lost Kingdom and Castle Amusement Park.

The quiet setting, beautiful weather, affordable but upscale housing, low crime, and variety of amenities make this growing community on the rise a fine choice to settle in and live the good life.
